For moong dal pakoda you need some soaked split moong dal. Grind the soaked moong dal in a fine smooth paste and beat the batter until it turns light and soft. Add water only if it’s necessary. Now add chopped onions, cilantro, ginger, cumin, asafoetida, red chilli powder and salt.
Heat oil in a kadhai, place 1 by 1 tsp of batter and fry till crisp and golden brown.
Serve the pakodas hot with chutney or sauce.
2. Kalmi Vada
Kalmi vada is a unique vada recipe popular in western parts of India. It is a fried snack but still reaped significant protein power. This vada recipe is prepared uniquely and is a quick and delicious vada recipe.
For preparing Kalmi Vada you need some soaked chana dal, potatoes, ginger, green chilli, baking soda and salt as per taste.
Grind the chana dal, ginger and green chilli in a coarse paste. Grate the potatoes and mix the grounded dal paste in it. Add baking soda and salt and pour the mixture in a greased wide vessel. Steam it for 20 minutes on a medium flame. Once it cools down, cut it into pieces and deep fry the vadas. Serve the hot crispy Kalmi Vadas with chutney or sauce.
3. Palak Poha Pakoda

To prepare Palak Poha Pakoda you need spinach, poha, besan, green chilli, red chilli powder, cumin seeds, carom seeds and salt as per taste. Soak the poha after washing and draining water. Take a mixing bowl and add chopped spinach, soaked poha, besan and all the other ingredients. Mix all the ingredients well and add a tsp of oil in the mixture. Add water and prepare a smooth and thick batter. Let it rest for 5 to 10 min.

Cut the edges of the bread and flatten the slices with a rolling pin. Preheat the oven at 180 degrees. Take a mixing bowl and mix the ingredients with grated paneer. Place the mixture on the flattened slices and seal the edges with the help of water or butter. Prepare all the pakodas like this and place them on the baking tray. Brush the butter over it and place the tray in the oven. Bake the pakodas for 12-15 mins.

5. Poha Croquettes
